Bio

Marty attributes his artistic talents to his mother, who while still in Cuba, developed a love for working with her hands sculpting, drawing, and painting.
He also has always found personal reward in using his hands artistically as an accomplished silversmith, painter (acrylics), and glass craftsman.
His love for glass began 25 years ago when he took his first stained glass class. The short introductory course and planned 8″ x 10″ glass project evolved into a dramatic 24″ x 24″ multi-colored skylight.
Since that original work and without formal training in the arts, colors and shapes have continued to intrigue him.
His unique, unorthodox use of these has elements resulted in a variety of glass forms and objects art.
He is always experimenting with different processes and new artistic expressions.
His latest works incorporate glass fusing, slumping, and casting.
